ZETTELKASTEN [ZK]
Process and Methods

ZK-25%.jpg

Zettelkasten is a German word... "Zettel" (slips of paper) + "kasten" (storage box).

A man named Lazlo Polgar taught his daughters using a Index Card Catalog System like at a library. His  three daughters Susan Polgar , Judit Polgar and Sophia Polgar used this system and each became Grand Masters in their own right with credentials to back it up. I find that learning from index cards or "zettels" (slips of paper in varying sizes) is best for me, as I can grab a stack of cards in varying subjects or just one, to take with me in those "dead times" when out and about, to review them by Rote Memorization.

It has helped me to get many A's in my actual schooling. It has expanded my knowledge of subjects that interest me over the years by repetitive/rote memorization and Mnemonics.

I will be posting examples of how I write out my index cards. I include the information for a subject on the cards for any subject I study like Genrikh Kasparian did painstakingly for Chess over his chess career.
Absolutely an incredible accomplishment!

So now, let's go to the CARD CATALOG and Surf around !!
